Quick Facts About Me

1. When I was little, I read a book about Mount Everest which started my lifelong love of the mountains. I’ve since trekked to Everest base camp and climbed up all the highest mountains in Wales!

2. I hated sport in school and have never thought of myself as a sporty person

3. I love being outdoors and cleaning the house is very low on my priority list (so I'm mainly outdoors avoiding house jobs!)

4. I’ve been married for 15 years and juggle life with two teens, which means I am a professional juggler

5. Somehow I ended up with a lazy Border Terrier who only likes to walk for 15 minutes

6. I believe in living life with a sense of humour and practicality - I hate wearing dresses and anything formal, so no, you won’t find me in heels.

7. I started weight lifting in 2011 and have competed in a power lifting competition (it was a one time only thing!)

8. I used to run on nervous energy, fuelled by sugar, coffee and gin to keep me going, until I ran myself into the ground. That was the turning point for me diving into a holistic approach to health.

More About Me!

Hey, I’m Rachel – a certified Health Coach and Personal Trainer passionate about supporting women’s health and navigating healthy ageing. My focus is on living well in a way that supports both physical and mental strength, creating the foundation for a long, active and enjoyable life.

My drive to explore health stems from a personal place. When my mum was diagnosed with a brain tumour at just 54, it turned my world upside down. She had great medical care, but the aftercare was lacking. There was no guidance on rebuilding her strength, managing the side effects of treatment, or addressing basic things like nutrition, and gut health after rounds of antibiotics. Watching her struggle made me painfully aware of the gaps in our healthcare system. Western medicine is incredible, but it’s clear there’s so much more we can do to support ourselves.

I also found myself drowning in conflicting health advice. Everywhere I turned, it was hard to know what to believe or where to start. It felt impossible to cut through the noise and find the facts. So I threw myself into learning, educating myself from the ground up, and picking through everything to figure out what actually works. That process gave me clarity but also showed me how overwhelming and confusing the world of health can be for so many people.

Before training as a Health Coach, I first qualified as a Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist. In typical me style, I wanted to educate myself on the physical side of the human body and really understand the mechanics behind the exercise I was doing. And importantly, how we can use exercise to build strength and prevent becoming frail. It not only helped me understand my own body better but also sparked a real ‘want’ to share that knowledge and help others with their health and fitness. Later, I expanded my expertise by studying to become a certified Health Coach with the College of Naturopathic Medicine, which deepened my understanding of how all aspects of health are interconnected.

Before stepping into the world of health, I worked in different management roles, mainly in marketing. Those roles gave me real insight into people, their challenges, what drives them and how to support them in meaningful ways. It taught me the importance of listening, communicating clearly and finding practical, but individual solutions; things I now bring into my coaching work.

A bit more about me? I’ve tried just about every form of exercise over the years: running, cycling, powerlifting, kickboxing. You name it, I’ve done it! These days, I focus on strength training and love mountain biking, even if suburbia isn’t exactly ideal for it! I’ve learned to prioritise rest and recovery, recognising that self-care is just as important as physical fitness. This is a balance I strive to maintain, even though it’s not always easy.

I know what it’s like to feel pulled in every direction, trying to balance work, family and everything else while still trying to prioritise health. I know how hard it can be to make time for what matters, and I’ve been there too. That’s why I’m committed to helping you take control of your health and future-proof it for a long, active, and enjoyable life.
